Section 8 company is required to be converted into private company and public company then it can surrender its license and the resultant company can make an application for stike off

Companies registered as Section 8 can close or shut down the company through surrendering their Section-8 license firest to operate as a charitable company.
Such license can be surrendered by converting the company into a normal company other than a Section 8 company.
Note: Section 8 company cannot be converted to One Person Company (OPC)

The address mentioned in the utility bill is incomplete viz. not having vital details like House no./Flat no./Plot no./Road/Khasra/Khatauni etc. Provide precise location details to enable service of documents at the mentioned address. Attach another documentary proof with complete address along with NOC. In case of rural areas not having exact / precise location in the utility bill, start with C/o (owner of the premises) in the registered office address details. 2.Producer certificate of all subscribers certified by tehsildar/ agriculture officer/ patwari/ SDM/district administrator on their letterhead with Clear Office Name & Address, Tel. As per Section 248 of the Companies Act 2013:
(2) A Company may, after extinguishing all its liabilities, by a special resolution or consent of seventy-five per cent members in terms of paid up share capital, file an application in Form STK-2 to the Registrar for removing the name of the company from the register of companies on all or any of the grounds specified in sub-section (1) and the Registrar shall, on receipt of such application, cause a public notice shall be in Form STK 5 or STK 6, as the case may be.
(3) Nothing in sub-section (2) shall apply to a company registered under section 8.
Therefore, no application is required to be made to ROC for striking off the name of the company in Form STK-2.
