    • As per the current regulations, an One Person Company (OPC) is not allowed to carry out the business of microfinance.

Microfinance institutions are regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and require a specific license from the RBI to operate as a non-banking financial company (NBFC) engaged in microfinance activities. However, as per the regulations, an OPC cannot be registered as an NBFC engaged in microfinance activities.

Therefore, an OPC cannot carry out the business of microfinance unless it obtains the necessary license from the RBI and is registered as an NBFC engaged in microfinance activities.
