    Dear Members,

    Please assist me knowing the conditions which must be Satisfied When Payment made to Sub-contractors?

    • Dear Ma’am,

      • The conditions which must be Satisfied When Payment made to Sub-contractors are :

      1.Person liable to deduct TDS under GST are:

          (a) a department or establishment of the Central or State Government, or

          (b) local authority, or

          (c) governmental agencies, or

          (d) such persons or category of persons as may be notified, by the Central or a State Government on the recommendations of the Council.

      1. If the total value of supply under a contract exceeds Rs 2.5 lakhs then the person/entity would be liable to deduct TDS.
      2. Deduction of Tax is required when the location of supplier and place of supply is not different from the State of the registration of the recipient.
