The contract cycle for USD-INR options is the same as that for all other currency options traded on Indian exchanges. The contract cycle is a three-month trading cycle consisting of three monthly contracts, namely the near-month contract, the mid-month contract, and the far-month contract.
For example, if the current trading month is January, then the near-month contract would be the January contract, the mid-month contract would be the February contract, and the far-month contract would be the March contract.
The near-month contract is the contract that expires first, and it expires on the last working day of the month. The mid-month contract expires on the 15th of the month, and the far-month contract expires on the last working day of the third month.
Options contracts can be traded on any trading day during the contract period, and the trading hours are typically between 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. It is important to note that the contract cycle and trading hours may be subject to change based on market conditions and regulatory guidelines.
