    • Dear Sohil Sir

      The above entry is covered under the list of goods or services exempt from GST of which Entry no. 6 states that:

      Not all services provided by the Government or a local authority are exempt from tax. As for instance the following services are not exempt:

       (a) services by the Department of Posts by way of speed post, express parcel post, life insurance, and agency services provided to a person other than government;

      (b) services in relation to an aircraft or vessel inside or outside the precincts of an airport or a port;

      (c) transport of goods or passangers; or

      (d) any service covered under (a) to (c) above, provided to business entities [with aggregate turnover exceeding Rs. 20 lakh (Rs. 10 lakh in case of special category states) in the preceeding F.Y.]

      The conclusion brought here is that services provided by CG/SG/UT/LA by way of transportation of goods or passangers to business entity is not exempt from GST, hence it is taxable under GST.

      Thank You!
