How can the category of the RBI allotment for the firm be changed?

Dear Friends!
While filing Form DIR-12, for the appointment of director, under
each section, against the term category, three options are listed –
Independent, Promoter and Professional.
If a person being appointed in a private company is not a promoter or
professional, the only option left with the company to select is
Independent Director. Can the company do so ?
Hi,
If a company is having 2 shareholder i.e 1 individual & 1 Body Corporate.
Now this Body Corporate wants to appoint its representative Director.
Wanted to know can I designate him as a Promoter Non executive director?
Or I can appoint him in individual Capacity also as Promoter Non executive director though he is not having any shareholding but is nominee for said Body corporate.

What is the procedure of changing the Sub Category of the company as appearing in Master Data of the company?
The company was formed as Subsidiary of Foreign Company in the year 2012, however in 2016, the foreign company has sold all its shares to other indian promoters. Since 2016, the company has ceased to be the subsidiary of any foreign entity, however the Master data is still showing it as Subsidiary of Foreign Company.
